Identifying unusual/missing diagnosis

Patients are storytellers who have the hope of being heard and understood (Edelson, 1993).


- Readily available in mind all sorts of symptoms and syndromes
- In curious mode
- Gnawing sense that something was missing in his understanding of the patient
